Shochu was a mysterious subject to me and I thought it is hard to learn about it. I was so wrong. The International Sake School made a big and scary topic lovely and a joy to immerse myself into. It is easy to learn about Shochu and a fun to attend the courses. Highly recommend.

Shochu and Awamori, Japan’s two indigenous spirits, are a fascinating and involved subject and are gaining increased global recognition with bartenders and spirits enthusiasts. Established courses focusing in on these two, dynamic beverages are hard to come by and so I highly recommend the Shochu Advisor course , delivered by the knowledgable Marie Cheong-Thong, as a firm grounding.
